BREAKING NEWS: Braves release Uggla
Second baseman Dan Uggla was in his fourth season with the Braves.
Dan Uggla has been released, the Braves announced Friday.
Uggla, 34, was in his fourth season with the Braves. He batted .162 (21-for-130) with two home runs and 10 RBI in 48 games this season.
The Braves will make a corresponding roster move prior to tonight’s game against the Phillies.
