How the winning run scored: With one out in the top of the 10th inning, Gwinnett's Ernesto Mejia hit a solo homer to left field that gave the G-Braves a 3-2 lead over Norfolk on Thursday night.

At the plate: As his injury rehab stint for the Atlanta Braves continued, outfielder Jordan Schafer batted leadoff for Gwinnett and was 0-for-5. He is 2-for-28 (.071) in seven games with the G-Braves. Mejia was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Kameron Loe lasted seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits. Mark Lamm (2-1) got the decision. He pitched two innings and gave up no runs on one hit.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (51-69) begin a series against Lehigh Valley at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Gwinnett left-hander Yohan Flande (7-6, 4.42 ERA) is scheduled to start against right-hander David Buchanan (1-0, 2.57). CSS is scheduled to televise the game.
