How the game was won: Juan Uribe hit a ball about a mile high and just far enough to escape the yard for his seventh home run of the year to give the Braves a 2-1 lead in the seventh. It was his third home run in his last six games.

Jonny Gomes smacked a homer of his own in the second to give Atlanta a 1-0 lead.

Julio Teheran wasn’t as masterful as he’s been in some home games this year, but he got the job done: seven innings, one unearned run, seven hits, four strikeouts and three walks. He’s now 6-4 on the year with a 4.60 ERA.

The Phillies scored their only run in the fifth when Adam Morgan reached on a Jace Peterson throwing error and scored on Cesar Hernandez’s single two batters later.

Number: .256. Jace Peterson's average after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Friday. He's hit .114 since June 21, when his average was .284.

What's next: It's the second of a three-game set against the Phillies, with first pitch at 7:15 p.m. Alex Wood (5-5, 3.17 ERA) takes the mound against Kevin Correia (0-2, 3.60 ERA). The Braves have won three in a row after losing five of their previous six.
