How the game was won: With the score tied 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth, A.J. Pierzynski poked one down the third-base line on a defense playing him to pull and legged it out for a leadoff double. Andrelton Simmons and Eury Perez both followed with infield singles. Pedro Ciriaco pinch hit for starter Williams Perez and knocked in Pierzynski with a sacrifice fly, and Cameron Maybin hit a fielder's choice two batters later to score Simmons and give Atlanta the 6-4 lead.

Pierzynski, Simmons and Eury Perez recorded nine of the team’s 10 hits and scored five of the six runs.

Luis Avilan, Jim Johnson and Jason Grilli shut the Mets down in the seventh, eighth and ninth to seal the win.

Number: 2. The amount of home runs Williams Perez allowed in his six innings of work. He'd allowed two in his previous 39 1/3 innings. He gave up four runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two.
