How the game was won: Nick Markakis had the game-winning RBI for the second night in a row, hitting a two-out single in the fifth inning to snap a 2-2 tie and send the Braves toward the win against the Marlins at Turner Field. Nick Swisher, acquired in Friday's three-player trade with Cleveland, had a two-run, two-out double in the seventh inning. Rookie Mike Foltynewicz (4-3) struggled with his control when he walked the bases loaded in the third inning, but he recovered and ended up pitching 5 2/3 innings and allowing five hits and two runs with four walks and three strikeouts.

Number: 10-2. Braves record against the Marlins this season. The Braves are 40-58 against everyone else.

What's next: The Braves go for a sweep of the four-game series Sunday at 5:10 p.m., with Shelby Miller (5-8, 2.44 ERA) facing Marlins lefty Brad Hand (1-2, 4.71).
