Updates on former Braves players still in baseball:

Jason Heyward, OF

St. Louis Cardinals

Heyward was 3-for-4 with a steal and scored three runs Thursday, giving him nine runs in a four-game span. He’s hitting .248 and is on pace for only 35 RBIs this season.

Craig Kimbrel, P

San Diego Padres

The closer has an ERA of 1.56 in his career, but it is a bloated 5.06 this season, thanks to giving up four earned runs in his past three outings. Kimbrel has eight saves.

Dan Uggla, 2B

Washington Nationals

The 35-year-old Uggla recorded the 700th RBI of his career early in his 10th season, but he’s still hitting under .200 (.192), with a homer and 10 RBIs.

Evan Gattis, OF-DH

Houston Astros

Gattis appeared to be getting comfortable in the AL with four homers and 11 RBIs in the past week, but his average fell below .200 again (.198).

Justin Upton, OF

San Diego Padres

He appears to be putting together a monster year at the plate. Upton hit .429 in the past week, bumping his average to .286. He has seven homers and 21 RBIs in 29 games.

Brian McCann, C-1B

New York Yankees

McCann hit .150 in the past week, dropping his average to .238. He had 23 homers last season, but is on pace (two in 23 games) to have half that many this season.

Tim Hudson, P

San Francisco Giants

He was rocked Thursday night, giving up an astounding 15 hits (and six earned runs) to the Marlins in 6 2/3 innings. He’s 1-3 this season, with a 4.50 ERA.

Jeff Francoeur, OF

Philadelphia Phillies

He got a boost from facing the Braves, going 5-for-6 in three games, but he’s only hitting .225 with two homers and seven RBIs in 24 games.

Adam LaRoche, DH-1B

Chicago White Sox

The slick-fielding first baseman has played that position in only three of 25 games. He’s hitting .212 with three homers and 10 RBIs.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C

Arizona Diamondbacks

He was released by the Marlins and signed a minor-league deal with Arizona, which has gotten very little offense from its catchers this season.
