Justin Upton, OF

San Diego Padres

He hit his 14th home run June 27, the most a Padre has hit before the All-Star break since Adrian Gonzalez smacked 18 in 2010. Those 14 homers also are the most of any National League player to switch teams in the offseason.

Melvin Upton Jr., OF

San Diego Padres

He’s appeared in 20 games for the Padres this season, getting hits in six. He has recorded no errors in 11 appearances in center field.

Craig Kimbrel, P

San Diego Padres

Since finishing May with a 4.74 ERA, he has gone eight-for-eight in save opportunities with a 0.82 ERA and .179 opponent batting average. He’s struck out 16 batters in his past 11 innings.

Evan Gattis, OF-DH

Houston Astros

His 46 RBIs from April 26-June 30 were the most in the American League in that time. In his past 34 games, he’s hitting .298 and has an .842 OPS with seven doubles, three triples, five home runs and 22 RBIs. The Astros are 19-7 this season when he has at least one RBI.

Jason Heyward, OF

St. Louis Cardinals

Since hitting .211 until May 3, he’s hitting .318 and has an .864 OPS with seven home runs and 25 RBIs. The Cardinals are 31-19 in that span. He’s hit safely in 13 of his past 14 games, seven of which were multi-hit games. He also leads the team with eight stolen bases.

Tim Hudson, P

San Francisco Giants

He’s 5-7 with a 4.68 ERA on the season. But in his past seven starts, he’s 3-4 with a 5.53 ERA and .303 opponent batting average.

Brian McCann, C

New York Yankees

Since May 7, he’s raised his average from .227 to .265. In June and July he’s hitting .288 and has a .831 OPS with three doubles, four home runs and 16 RBIs. The Yankees are 12-11 in that span.

Martin Prado, INF

Miami Marlins

He was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 18, retroactive to June 15, with a right shoulder sprain. He was hitting .272 with 11 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 24 RBIs. But he was slumping in June, hitting only .240 with three RBIs.

Omar Infante, INF

Kansas City Royals

As of the most recent voting update, he still leads Jose Altuve for the starting American League second-base spot in the All-Star game. He went 1-for-11 in Kansas City’s most recent series against Houston. He’s hitting .232 and has a .515 OPS with five doubles and six RBIs in June and July.

Eric O’Flaherty, P

Oakland Athletics

He’s 0-2 on the season with a 7.43 ERA. But he’s allowed no earned runs in six of his past seven appearances, during which he’s compiled a 2.84 ERA.

Michael Bourn, OF

Cleveland Indians

He’s hitting .228 with eight doubles, one triple, 14 RBIs and six stolen bases. He raised his batting average to .259 on June 4, but since then he’s hitting .150 (9-for-60) with 21 strikeouts and no RBIs.
