The Auburn football community, including one of the team's current players, isn't happy about the stunning decision of George Pickens on Wednesday.

The 5-star receiver from Hoover, Ala., was a longtime commitment to Auburn. On Wednesday's signing day, Pickens flipped from the Tigers to Georgia. It was a huge loss for Auburn. DawgNation's Jeff Sentell wrote a detailed story about the turn of events.

After hearing the news, Auburn defensive tackle Coynis Miller put out a fiery tweet that was later deleted. It said, in part, “knew this was coming. … Better stop playing and drop the check … everybody else doing it.”

247Sports.com wrote that Miller “wants the Tigers to place a higher bid for services next time around.”

Another Auburn player, receiver Anthony Schwartz, joined in.  He tweeted an emoji of a money bag but later deleted the tweet.

Schwartz however left this tweet up: “Just know we know.”

The frustration may not be surprising, considering the intensity of the Georgia-Auburn rivalry. There could be more public criticism in the days ahead directed at Pickens, who was the No. 1 overall prospect out of Alabama.

Pickens has signed his national letter of intent with the Bulldogs.
