Atlanta United’s Thiago Almada finished third in voting for MLS Most Valuable Player.

Cincinnati’s Luciano Acosta finished first with LAFC’s Denis Bouanga second in voting from players, journalists and league executives. The results were announced Monday.

Almada finished with 6.46% of the vote, behind Acosta’s 60.37% and Bouanga’s 14.97%.

Almada scored 11 goals and a league-high 19 assists. Acosta led the league in goal contributions (17 goals, 14 assists) and Bouanga finished with the most goals (20).

Almada was named the league’s Young Player of the Year on Nov. 6. Teammate Giorgos Giakoumakis was named the Newcomer of the Year on Nov. 2.
