Four Atlanta United players, Alex Tambakis, Jeffrey Otoo, Romario Williams and Chris Goslin, will start fpr Charleston tonight for its game against Columbus in the second round of games in the Carolina Challenge Cup.
Tambakis, a goalkeeper, and Goslin, a midfielder, also played for Charleston in the Battery’s 1-1 tie with Seattle in the first round of game. They were two of several players who were loaned and performed well in the draw.
Otoo has been loaned to the Battery for the season. He, Tambakis and Williams played for the Battery last season.
Atlanta United will play Seattle in Wednesday’s second game. Because just two players have been loaned to the Battery for just tonight’s game, it may mean manager Gerardo Martino will sub liberally tonight.
Midfielder Carlos Carmona, one of the two players who were away from the team last week, has re-joined the team. It hasn’t been announced if he is playing tonight. The other, Anton Walkes, hasn’t rejoined the team.
