Atlanta United’s Ezequiel Barco suffered a right knee injury while with the Argentine U-20 national team on Wednesday, according to a report.

The diagnoses and prognosis haven't been announced by the Argentine team or Atlanta United. Atlanta United said the injury is not considered serious but that Barco will miss the start of training camp.

The website TyCSports reported the injury is to the patellar tendon, which connects the thigh muscle to the kneecap and the kneecap to the shin bone.

Atlanta United will open training camp on Jan. 14. Its season will begin March 4 at D.C. United.

Barco, 19, is one of Atlanta United’s Designated Players. He scored four goals and had three assists last season.
