The Hawks have filled their open two-way spot. The team announced Friday the signing of guard/forward Daeqwon Plowden to a two-way deal.

Plowden has spent much of this season with the College Park Skyhawks, the G League affiliate of the Hawks. He’s averaged 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, all while shooting 38.5% from 3-point range in 14 games.

The 26-year-old wing has put up plenty of highlight-worthy video, including a poster dunk on Maine Celtics forward Tristan Enaruna during this month’s G League Showcase in Orlando.

The Hawks acquired Plowden’s returning player rights shortly before training camp in September after signing him to an Exhibit 10 contract. The team ended up waiving him after its final exhibition game.

The Philadelphia native went undrafted in 2022 after five seasons at Bowling Green. Plowden has spent all of his professional career in the G League having played for the Birmingham Squadron, the G League affiliate of the Pelicans (2022-23) and the Osceola Magic (2023-24).
