The Hawks signed Ibi Watson, the team announced Tuesday afternoon, after freeing a training-camp roster spot by waiving Jahlil Okafor on Monday.

Watson played for the Hawks during the NBA Summer League and averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 37.1 minutes per game last season at Dayton, starting all 24 games as a senior. He also earned third team All-Atlantic 10 honors.

The move likely means Watson is headed for the College Park Skyhawks, the Hawks’ G League affiliate.
