After listing their starter for Wednesday as “TBD,” the Braves will go with Touki Toussaint for the middle contest of a three-game series against the Nationals. Toussaint will oppose Washington lefty Sean Nolin.

Manager Brian Snitker indicated the team’s decision to delay their announcement on a starter wasn’t injury related.

“Just kind of where we’re at right now,” Snitker said. “We decided on letting (Toussaint) start the game.”

Toussaint will try to rebound after allowing five runs (four earned) over three innings in his last outing at Coors Field. Left-hander Drew Smyly will remain in the bullpen and will be available Wednesday, Snitker said. Smyly made his relief debut last weekend in Colorado, pitching a clean inning.
