Alabama linebacker Anfernee Jennings will miss Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship against Georgia has he recovers from knee surgery.
Jennings recorded three tackles before he suffered a knee injury during Monday’s Sugar Bowl win over Clemson.
Early Wednesday morning, Jennings posted a note to fans on Twitter that he will have an MRI next Friday after surgery on Wednesday.
“Unfortunately I’ve played my last game this season, but I will be back stronger than ever next season,” Jennings wrote.
