The incident occurred at about 1 a.m., when police said the woman lost control of her Ford Mustang and crashed into the Darkhorse Tavern, KHOU reported.

Paul Maira, the bar's manager, told KPRC it was not the first time a car had plowed into the bar.

“It happened one time before,” Maira said. “A young lady had gotten run off the road and she hit the post (that runs power to the bar). We had some sort of warning, we had a small brownout right before it happened. She hit directly where the door is at.”

In the latest incident, an off-duty officer and Maira broke a window on the woman's car to get her out, KHOU reported. She was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, the television station reported.
