Ji-Hoon Seo called local 911, and the dispatcher called Brooklyn, NY, police to send help.

Although Seo knew his fiancée's address and which floor she lives on, he was not sure of the apartment number, so authorities had to do some research to get the exact address.

Seo watched his girlfriend, passed out, for the more than 30 minutes it took for firefighters to arrive.

Firefighters kicked their way in and treated Seo’s girlfriend for an asthma attack.

Seo said his girlfriend recovered fully and he was planning a trip to visit her in person.
