Colorado photographer Lauren "Lo" Drogsvold took the dramatic video Saturday at Breckenridge Ski Resort, the newspaper reported. In the video, the moose is seen approaching some skiers, then charging them as they ski away, KOAA reported.

"You can't plan for this kind of stuff; you can't make this stuff up," Drogsvold told the Summit Daily.

Drogsvold told the newspaper the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. She began recording the moose, who was standing near a resort sign. As Drogsvold began to ski away, she noticed the moose begin to charge the skiers, the Summit Daily reported.

Drogsvold told the newspaper she yelled at other skiers to move quickly away. She said she continued to film before she dived off the trail and hid behind a tree.

"If you see a moose, you don't walk up to it, you don't approach it," Drogsvold told the Summit Daily. "You get the hell away from there and leave them alone."

A Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman said the agency has jurisdiction over the moose and is the only department with authority to move or tranquilize the animal, KOAA reported.
