USDA: Nearly 50,000 pounds of Bob Evans sausage links recalled

Nearly 50,000 pounds of pork sausage link products are being recalled by Ohio-based Bob Evans Farms, Inc., the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Thursday.

In a statement, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said that Bob Evans is recalling 46,734 pounds of pork sausage because it may be contaminated by pieces of hard plastic.

The five items that are being recalled were produced Aug. 1, according to the statement.

These are the products being recalled:

The affected products were shipped to retail locations in Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin, the U.S Department of Agriculture said.
