The twin brothers accused of killing a former journalist and then encasing the body in concrete have been returned to Florida, where investigators believe the man died.

Christopher Lynn Cormier and William Joseph Cormier, both 31, had been in the Barrow County jail following their Oct. 8 arrests. That was the day information from Pensacola, Fla., police led Winder police to the home of twins’ father.

The Cormiers are accused of killing Sean Dugas, of Pensacola, possibly over some gaming cards, investigators have said. But police believe the two killed Dugas in Florida before bringing his body to Barrow County.

The Barrow County District Attorney’s office dropped the charges against the Cormiers and both signed extradition papers. Friday night, the Cormiers were booked into the Escambia County jail in Florida, where they were being held Monday without bond.

Booking records show each brother faces a homicide and robbery charge. It is not known whether the Cormiers will face additional charges in Georgia.
