A tree that fell on a car on Peachtree Street in Midtown on Sunday has been removed,  Atlanta police said.

Traffic is also moving again in the area.

“The tree has been removed and the scene is clear,” Officer Lisa Bender said about 3:30 p.m.

Shortly after 1 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Peachtree Street NE, Bender said.

“The occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicle,” Bender said. “EMS responded and treated them for minor injuries on scene.”

Earlier, the tree had blocked all lanes of traffic on Peachtree Street from 12th to 13th streets.

The city Public Works department was requested to remove the tree.
