Driver killed after car crashes into utility pole in Fulton County

A man died Wednesday afternoon when Fulton County police said he crashed his car into a utility pole at the intersection of Fulton Industrial Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Police have not said what led to the crash that occurred about 5 p.m. in south Fulton County.

Fulton County police Cpl. Maureen Smith said the man was the only person in the car at the time. Police have not his name.

All lanes of Fulton Industrial are blocked as crews work to clear the crash.

Smith said the traffic lights are out at the intersection and Georgia Power crews are working to restore them.
