Atlanta firefighters are on the scene of a reported gas leak near Grady High School.

“Atlanta Gas Light is on scene to assist,” Atlanta police Officer Jarius Daugherty told AJC.com just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The gas leak in the 900 block of Charles Allen Drive is believed to have been caused by a construction crew hitting an underground gas line, according to fire department spokesman Sgt. Cortez Stafford. Crews are working to locate the leak, he said.

There is no impact to students. Atlanta Public Schools is on spring break this week.

However, drivers in the area are urged to use caution, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
