All eastbound lanes of I-285 have reopened in DeKalb County after a tanker truck caught fire Saturday afternoon, but heavy delays remain.

The blaze blocked the eastbound lanes of the Perimeter near the Peachtree Industrial Boulevard exit about 2 p.m. The fire has since been extinguished, but there are still major delays leaving Dunwoody, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the truck was hauling flammable material when it caught on fire on the Perimeter. Drivers looking to avoid delays are urged to take Ashford Dunwoody Road or Ga. 400 to I-85.
