All westbound lanes of I-285 reopened in DeKalb County following a fiery crash that snarled traffic for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck occurred in the left lanes of the outer loop at Chamblee Dunwoody Road about 2:15 p.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. It appeared to involve a car-carrier and a box truck.

No one was injured in the crash, Dunwoody police spokesman Sgt. Robert Parsons said.

Traffic was forced to squeeze by in two right lanes as crews cleared the wreckage, prompting heavy delays on the Perimeter and southbound lanes of I-85 that continued into the evening commute.

It’s still unclear what led to the crash or if either of the drivers was cited.
