Q: Why do all the new Georgia license plate numbers seem to start with the letter “P” regardless of county or auto type?

A: The state's new license plates are following a new numbering system in which the first plate issued received the tag number PAA1000, a Georgia Department of Revenue spokesman told Q&A on the News. The new system was created so "there will be no overlap" in tag numbers between the old plates and the new ones that started being issued this year. He said the new numbering system goes from PAA1000 to PZZ9999.
Q: Braves closer Craig Kimbrel struck out four batters in one inning against the Marlins on Sept. 26. One of the batters reached first base after the third strike was a wild pitch. What is the Major League record for strikeouts by one pitcher in one inning? Who holds that record?

A: Kimbrel became the 57th pitcher in MLB history to strike out four batters in one inning, which is the record. He was the eighth pitcher to strike out four in one inning in 2012 and did it one night after Los Angeles Angels starter Zack Greinke also struck out four in an inning. Kimbrel became the fourth Braves pitcher to strike out four batters in one inning, joining Phil Niekro (1977), Paul Assenmacher (1989) and Mark Wohlers (1995). Former MLB pitcher Chuck Finley did it three times and current Pittsburgh Pirates starter A.J. Burnett has done it twice, once in each league.
