A: The 2010 population for the city of Atlanta was 420,003, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Of these, 54 percent were black, 36.3 percent were white, 5.2 percent were Hispanic and 3.1 percent were Asian. The estimated numbers for Fulton County were 920,581 total, with 44.5 percent black, 40.9 percent white, 8.1 percent Hispanic and 5.8 percent Asian.

  • Bartow: 100,157 population (79.1 percent white, 10.8 percent black, 7.9 percent Hispanic)
  • Cherokee: 214,346 (80.6 percent white, 9.9 percent Hispanic, 6.4 percent black,)
  • Clayton: 259,424 (66 percent black, 15.5 percent white, 13.5 percent Hispanic)
  • Cobb: 688,078 (56 percent white, 25.9 percent black, 12.5 percent Hispanic)
  • Coweta: 127,317 (72.2 percent white, 17.9 percent black, 7 percent Hispanic)
  • DeKalb: 691,893 (54.4 percent black, 30.1 percent white, 9.8 percent Hispanic)
  • Douglas: 132,403 (48.9 percent white, 40.1 percent black, 8.6 percent Hispanic)
  • Fayette: 106,567 (67.2 percent white, 20.8 percent black, 6.5 percent Hispanic)
  • Forsyth: 175,511 (79.3 percent white, 9.6 percent Hispanic, 6.7 percent Asian)
  • Gwinnett: 805,321 (43.3 percent white, 25 percent black, 20.5 percent Hispanic)
  • Henry: 203,922 (51.9 percent white, 37.8 percent black, 9.1 percent Hispanic)
  • Newton: 99,958 (51.9 percent white, 41.3 percent black, 4.8 percent Hispanic)
  • Paulding: 142,324 (74.5 percent white; 17.8 percent black, 5.3 percent Hispanic)
  • Rockdale: 85,215 (46.7 percent black, 40.7 percent white, 9.9 percent Hispanic)
