Q: The Fox Sports 1 channel recently started, and Mike Tyson was interviewed on a show. He said he had a new reality show called “Being: Mike Tyson.” Is it a weekly show?

A: "Being:" is a documentary-style series on Fox Sports 1 that began last year on other Fox channels with episodes called "Being: Liverpool." Tyson is featured in the next part of the series, called "Being: Mike Tyson," which premieres Sept. 22. Six episodes will be shown. "Fox Sports cameras are with Mike as he reconnects with the public, who has both loved and vilified him, and shares this truly unique experience through his own eyes and voice," a Fox Sports release stated. Other athletes, including New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, will be featured. Tyson will resume his one-man show called "Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth" this fall and his memoir, called "Undisputed Truth," will be released in November. Fox Sports 1 launched on Aug. 17.
Q: Can car owners disable or remove the black box in their cars?

A: Experts warn against attempting to disable an automobile's black box, or event data recorder (EDR), because it pulls information from so many vital systems. "The data recording function is so thoroughly integrated into a car's electronics that there is no way to completely disable it without also disabling safety features in a way that would violate federal law," a CNN.com article reported. EDRs are in 96 percent of new vehicles sold in the U.S., and the National Highway Traffic Administration wants them installed in all new vehicles by September 2014.
