The hoop and stick — what could be considered the Xboxes of the 1700s — were given a try when students at Alpharetta Elementary recently celebrated Colonial History Day with Captain Sadler’s History Camps. The students learned about ciphers, block printing and colonial dress. They also experienced a recreation of the school room of the past.
