An Atlanta-area non-profit will soon be reunited with its puppy that was stolen Monday.

The nonprofit Canine Assistants, which focuses on helping those with disabilities, posted on their Bring Dorie Home Facebook page that Dorie was taken from the Canine Assistants Farm on Sept. 2 in Milton, Georgia.

On Wednesday, Grace Murphy with Canine Assistants told WSB-TV that someone "rushed" two people in a Publix parking lot and put Dorie in their arms. The 3-month-old puppy had a note on that said "Please return this dog to Canine Assistance" and listed the address of the farm.

The Bring Dorie Home Facebook page posted photos and video of the reunion, which took place at the Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Suwanee, Georgia, 40 minutes away from  Canine Assistants.

Canine Assistants helps place dogs with people with disabilities at no cost. The average service dog costs about $25,000.

The reward for Dorie's return, initially at $1,000, shot up to $3,5000, then $5,000 after people made donations.

Murphy said they are elated to have Dorie back and that she will soon continue her training.
