Spalding man arrested on 3 counts of child porn

A Spalding County man has been arrested on three counts of possession of child pornography, the GBI said Thursday.

Patrick Edward Finnegan, 23, was taken into custody July 8 as part of an investigation by the state agency’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, according to a news release. Authorities said they received a tip that Finnegan uploaded images depicting child porn to a social media site.

The Griffin Police Department assisted the GBI in the arrest. Finnegan is currently being held at Spalding County Jail without bond.
