The annual Southeast Homeschool Expo returns this week to the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 2 Galleria Parkway, Atlanta with free parking.

Thursday will include a conference on "Homeschooling for Excellence 101" with the rate of $55 but free for children under 18 attending with their parents. Lunch is not provided.

Friday and Saturday's expo is devoted to the display, sale and discussion of educational materials by Christian, secular and specialty publishers.

Expo fees are $25 for one or both days but free for children under 18 to attend workshops and the exhibit hall with their parents.

Those considering homeschooling, new homeschoolers, classical homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, unschoolers all are invited to explore and ask questions for the education of their babies through high schoolers.

For those unable to attend, most sessions will be recorded and available for purchase from Rhino Technologies.

For ages 13 to 18, a Teen Leadership Conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday for $40 for one or both days but with no lunch provided.

Topics for Friday will be "What Is 'Normal'? and Am I Normal?," "Living Cross-Culturally," "Raise the Bar" and "Defying the Odds."

Saturday's topics will be "Learning to Think for Yourself," "Moving Past Failure," "Romance . . . Ahhh - Is There a Better Way?" and "Am I OK?"

Also, a KidsZone, for ages 4 to 12, is open 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday for $40 each day, $70 for two days or $90 for three days but with no lunch provided.

On Thursday, children will explore architecture and engineering while creating cities, watch National Geographic's "Most Amazing Moments," complete a facts treasure hunt and an art project, listen to storyteller Jim Weiss and view a Zoo Atlanta presentation.

For Friday, children will learn about beautifying cities through architecture and green space, view a Big Thinkers Science Exploration presentation on "Air Up There!" and Zoo Atlanta presentation, participate in action skills and learn from Brainy Bytes.

Saturday's schedule for children will be exploring architecture and engineering while creating cities, viewing a Zoo Atlanta presentation, playing board games, viewing a Big Thinkers Science Exploration presentation on "Air Up There!," listening to storyteller Jim Weiss and learning from Brainy Bytes.
