Authorities responding to a medical call Monday at a North Dakota business found "several" bodies, KFGO reported.
Police and sheriff’s deputies found four bodies at RJR Maintenance and Management in Mandan, the radio station reported.
Update 10 p.m. EDT, April 2: Police in Mandan, North Dakota, said Thursday evening that they have detained 44-year-old Chad Isaak on suspicion of killing four people Monday according to KVLY-TV.
Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler said surveillance video identified a vehicle of interest and helped lead them to the suspect, who lived in the small town of Washburn about 35 miles north of Mandan.
Ziegler also revealed for the first time that the victims had been stabbed or shot.
Update 2:48 p.m. EDT, April 2: Police said Robert Fakler, 52, the owner of RJR Maintenance and Management Company, was identified Tuesday as one of four people killed at the Mandan, North Dakota, business, according to KFGO. The others were company employees, identified as Adam Fuehrer, 42; Lois Cobb, 45; and her husband, Bill Cobb, 50, the radio station reported.
Police have not identified a suspect or a motive, KFGO reported.
Original report: In a three-sentence statement, the Mandan Police Department said officers had found "several people who were deceased inside" the business in the city, which is located across the Missouri River west of Bismarck, the Star Tribune reported. Police did not say many people were dead and did not release any other details. A news conference was planned for later Monday, the newspaper reported.
Morton County officials referred a request for comment to Mandan police, KFGO reported. The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation confirmed it was helping with the investigation but refused further comment.
RJR Maintenance and Management is owned by Robert and Jackie Fakler, according to The Bismarck Tribune.
