A crash with a serious injury shut down a busy intersection in Alpharetta for several hours Monday afternoon.
Alpharetta police spokesman Howard Miller said a motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in the crash at North Point Parkway and Preston Ridge Road, which occurred around 3:45 p.m., the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported.

The roads were closed while authorities investigated, diverting drivers onto Westside Parkway. No details about the crash were released.
