A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after his 2013 Harley Davidson slammed into the back of the cab of tractor-trailer truck that was attempting a U turn on Lenox Road.
Atlanta police said the semi driver, Eugene Holmes, was at the intersection with Ferncliff Road around 9 a.m. when the southbound motorcyclist came up on his 2007 Great Dane truck. Police said Harley left 165 feet of skid marks on Lenox Road.
The motorcycle driver, whose name was not released, was taken to Grady Hospital, where he later died.
Holmes will be charged with making an improper U-turn and homicide by vehicle in the second degree.
