Denizens of metro Atlanta should have clear skies and plenty of sunshine to enjoy through most of the day Saturday.
But before heading outside to bask in the sunlight, you may want to grab a jacket and a hot cocoa.
It should be a day filled with gusty winds, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz’s forecast.

Cool breezes overnight will produce winds that could gust over 25 mph occasionally throughout Saturday, Nitz predicted.
“This cold front comes in, but moves through dry air,” he said. “So it’ll help keep the breeze up late tomorrow, but it’s not going to bring any clouds or rain.”
Residents throughout metro Atlanta can expect to wake up to temperatures in the low 30s, at or just below the freezing point.
The high for the day is expected to be 57 in Atlanta.
“In the afternoon, we’re going to climb into the mid-50s across metro Atlanta. A little bit warmer to the south and east,” Nitz said.
More of a warm up’s predicted early next week, when highs should eclipse 70 degrees. But scattered showers are also expected with heavy chances of rain through the first few days of the work week.

There will be lane closures on interstates and state highways throughout metro Atlanta this weekend, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Multiple lanes of I-75 South will be shut down at the Northwest Corridor near Ga. 401 in Cobb County for routine maintenance and bridge inspections.
Several lanes will be closed on Ga. 360 at various locations between Sandtown and Macland roads for corrective work.
In DeKalb County, two lanes of I-285 will be closed from the Glenwood Road off-ramp to the Covington Highway on-ramp for bridge work.
