Cartersville police are looking for a man who allegedly shot a woman in the face July 20.

Christopher Michael Collum, 25, allegedly shot Classie Pratt, 24, in the face at the Cartersville Courtesy Inn after she told him he “couldn’t shoot anybody,” according to a police report.

A witness who had been in the room with Pratt at the time said Collum had been showing off his new pistol. When Pratt told Collum he couldn’t shoot anyone, Collum pointed the gun in her face and said he would shoot her, police said.

The witness said Collum had been joking, according to the incident report. He said Pratt grabbed the gun, causing it to go off in her face.

Collum left with the gun, according to police.

Pratt’s condition is unclear at this time.

Collum is wanted for aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Collum was last seen July 20 in a blue Ford Ranger with a green hood and a Confederate tag on the front, according to Cartersville Police. The truck has Georgia tag PIF2892.

Collum is a 5-foot-11 white man, weighing 145 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police said they believe he is armed with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

Cartersville police ask that anybody with information on Collum’s whereabouts call the Cartersville Police Department at 770-382-2526 or the tip line at 770-606-5337.
