Smyrna police have located a man and his son, who had been missing since Tuesday.

Ryan Stow, 35, and his 9-year-old son, Braiden Cole Stow, were both found in Alabama, police said in a news release. The boy is now with his mother, and there are no charges pending against the father, according to the release.

Police did not say where in Alabama the two were found.

Smyrna police had been looking for Stow and his son since the man allegedly threatened to kill himself Tuesday.

Stow left his Smyrna residence with his son before police arrived, authorities said.
