A thief pretending to have a gun tied up a manager of a New York City restaurant and then stole $8,000, WCBS reported.
The incident happened Friday at 1 a.m. at the Knickerbocker Grill in the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan, the television station reported.
Police said the suspect entered the restaurant through a side door and encountered the 62-year-old manager in the basement, WNBC reported. The suspect showed the manager what looked like a gun and then tied up the man's wrists and feet with duct tape before stealing the money, WCBS reported.
A surveillance camera caught a partial image of the suspect, the television station reported.
