A double murder suspect is on the run, and Savannah police believe he may be in Marietta or north Atlanta.
Marietta police are working with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department to find David Randy Daniels, Jr., who is accused of shooting three teens in Savannah on July 30, authorities said. Two of the teens died.
Daniels, 21, is charged with murder in connection with the shooting deaths of 18-year-old Dominique Bright and 15-year-old Syheem Spaulding during a drug transaction.
He is also charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting a 15-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle nearby during the incident, police said.
Investigators in Savannah believe Daniels left the area to avoid arrest, and say he is known to frequent the Atlanta and Marietta areas, Marietta police spokesman Officer David Baldwin said.
Police said Daniels also has contacts in Florida and the Carolinas.
He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, authorities said.
Anyone in the metro Atlanta recognizing Daniels is asked to call Crime Stoppers in Savannah at 877-691-8899 or text CRIMES to 274637. In Savannah, tipsters are asked to call 911.
Callers may remain anonymous and any information leading to an arrest or prosecution is eligible for a cash reward.
