Smyrna police are looking for a man and his 9-year-old son after the father allegedly threatened to kill himself Tuesday.
Ryan Stow, 35, left his Smyrna residence with his son, Braiden Cole Stow, before police arrived, according to a news release from the Smyrna Police Department.
On Wednesday, police said they found a note from Stow threatening “suicide-by-police.”
Police believe Stow and his son are in the area, possibly at a camp site.
Stow is described as 6-foot-1, 160 pounds, with green eyes and several tattoos. Police believe he is driving a burgundy 1995 Buick LaSabre, with Georgia license plate 34618QC.
Braiden is about 4-foot-8, between 60 and 65 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing shorts, a T-shirt and blue and yellow Reebok slippers.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Stow and his son, or has seen them, should call 911 or the Smyrna police at 404-596-1973.
