Three police agencies were searching for a man who allegedly led officers on a chase from Cobb County to Midtown late Tuesday.
The incident began when officers attempted a traffic stop on Veterans Memorial Highway, near Riverview Drive in Mableton, according to Officer Mike Bowman with Cobb police. But the driver refused to stop, instead leading officers on a chase southbound on I-75, Bowman said.
When the suspect’s vehicle became disabled near Atlantic Station, a man ran from the area, according to police. A woman who was in the car was taken into custody, Bowman said.
Atlanta police and the Georgia State Patrol were assisting with the search for the man, Bowman said.
The suspects’ names were not released.
