No serious injuries were reported when a pickup truck drove into a west Cobb County restaurant Friday afternoon, police said.

A driver smashed into the front of the Marietta Pizza Company, off Due West Road, shortly after 5 p.m., according to witnesses and police.

The driver, whose name was not released, was not injured. But a customer inside the eatery sustained minor injuries, Officer Mike Bowman with Cobb police said.

The restaurant was able to remain open Friday night.
