Noted educator to keynote Fulton educational expo

March 1, 2013

Parents and teachers from the Fulton County Schools will meet Saturday for the Title I Parent/Student Expo featuring educator Steve Perry as the guest speaker.

Perry, who has emerged as one of the country’s leading educational spokesmen, is the founder and principal of Capital Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford, Conn. Capital Prep has sent all of its predominantly low-income, minority, first generation high school graduates to four-year colleges every year since its first class graduated in 2006.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Tri-Cities High School, 2575 Harris St. in East Point. The expo is free and open to Fulton County parents.
