Hot Lips Hustle, a 5K to raise money for SMILE TRAIN, the world largest cleft lip and palate charity, is Sept. 14 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2922 Sandy Plains Road in Marietta. The fun starts at 8 a.m. The race was founded by a 12-year0old Marietta girl who was born with cleft and wanted to help children who can’t afford treatment for this disfiguring birth defect. All proceeds help pay for life-changing surgeries on children worldwide with cleft lip/palate. This is the ninth year for the event.
