More than 50,000 piñatas worth $1.5 million were lost in a fire at a Texas business Tuesday, KENS reported.
The owner of Cuevas Piñatas in San Antonio said surveillance cameras were moved before the fire, the television station reported.
"A lot of our inventory is handmade piñatas, candy, anything that you can need for your party. We had a full stock of inflatables, moonwalks, tables, chairs, 25 years of equipment. It's gone," Cynthia Cuevas told KSAT.
Fire officials are treating the blaze as an arson investigation, saying that they found several areas were a fire may have been set, the television station reported.
"They did confirm with me and asked me if the possibility of me starting this was even to be considered, and I said 'I don't even have insurance; what would be my motive?;" Cuevas told KSAT.
Fire investigators said they are still trying to find the cause of the fire, KENS reported.
Cuevas said she reopened the store in August after a year.
"Aug. 1 was our first day open," she told KENS. "Oct. 1, 2, I am now empty-handed.
"I am so lost," she told the television station. "I don't even know where to begin."
Cuevas started a GoFundMe page Wednesday.
