A Wal-Mart in Marietta was temporarily evacuated after a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

The store on Cobb Parkway was evacuated after the threat was called in around 3:30 p.m., Channel 2 Action News reported.

People were advised to avoid the area. Marietta police set up a command post in the store’s parking lot, the news station reported.

The store reopened by 5:30 p.m.
