Man accused of killing 2 men playing video games
A man already on probation and now accused of killing two cousins playing video games was arrested Wednesday, police said.
Lamaris Antonio Grier, 25, had eluded capture since Friday night, when he allegedly shot Jerry Grier, 23, and Jamanius Mills, 25, in the head inside a DeKalb County home. Family members returned to a Bobolink Drive home late Friday to find both men dead.
DeKalb County police identified Lamaris Grier as a suspect in the double homicide on Monday. U.S. Marshals assisted police from DeKalb and Clayton counties with the suspect’s arrest at a hotel in Forest Park.
The victims, Jerry Grier and Mills, were cousins, relatives told Channel 2 Action News. Lamaris Grier is not related to the victims, DeKalb police said.
Lamaris Grier spent two and a half years in state prison following a conviction on aggravated assault and robbery charges in DeKalb County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was released from prison in September 2012 and has been on parole since, records show.
