Gwinnett County police need the public’s help in identifying a woman who was found dead at Gwinnett Place Mall shortly before Christmas.

The woman’s body was found around 11 a.m. on Dec. 21 in a vacant restaurant space in the food court. A maintenance worker was inspecting the unit when he found the side door was locked. He climbed over the counter and found the woman’s body in a back room.

The woman was wearing a “black mesh style” jumpsuit and her black tennis shoes were lying next to her feet, police said. There were no obvious signs of trauma, and the case is not considered a criminal homicide at this point, according to police. The woman is believed to have been between 20 and 30 years old, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 100 lbs., police said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided a sketch of what the woman may have looked like in life. Anyone with information in this case, including the woman’s identity, is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
