Most of Tyrone’s government buildings and recreation sites will reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on May 18.

Town Hall, the police department and municipal court, the recreation center and all parks and playgrounds except the basketball court will be available with some restrictions. Employees and visitors will be required to practice social distancing, and the use of face masks is encouraged. Anyone who enters any office will have their temperature taken, and those with a fever will not be allowed inside. Residents are still asked to conduct business by phone, email or at www.tyrone.org whenever possible.

Starting May 19, the Tyrone Public Library is reopening with curbside service 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Patrons can search for and reserve books at www.gapines.org and pick them up in front of the building. Details are on the library’s Facebook page.
